Porthcurno
Beach is only a few miles east of Land`s
End on the south coast of Cornwall.
It lies in the western corner of the amazing
Porthcurno Bay. There are footpaths
winding their way down to the beach from
the Minack Theatre car park and also a small
sandy footpath from the large car park opposite
the Cable Station Inn.
Only
minutes from The Cable Station Inn is the
world famous Minack Theatre. This truly
wonderful spectacle provides an open air
venue and commands outstanding views across
Porthcurno Bay, with its turquoise water
and fine golden sands.
Every
year a variety of performances are given
by some of the very best theatrical companies
from around the world. An Exhibition Centre
provides information about The Minack Theatre
which was the inspiration and life’s work
of Rowena Cade.
There
are plenty of places to see and things to
do in the area: The minack Theatre, The
Telegraph Museum, Porthcurno Beach, Land’s
End, Lamorna Cove, the town of Penzance
is just a few miles away and there are trips
to the Isles of Scilly from Penzance Heliport,
Land’s End Airport and you can also sail
from Penzance on the Scillonian.
Everything
you could possibly require to create the
